I'm so confused.ītw i just realized how much I wrote. Which is why I just pretend I didn't see it.Īnyway, I don't know if I should post it. And go on to view their other photos of sunsets / flowers/ etc.īecause I truly do cherish my friendships with you all on Flickr and don't want to mess them up over a disagreement. HOWEVER, I literally KEEP SCROLLING - and pretend that I didn't see it. Because most of the posts are opposite of my beliefs. And it does make me a little uncomfortable sometimes when I see OTHER people doing it. I know so many people get offended by everything now-a-days. Thanks in advance for helping me decide what to do here. but then the message of the image will be lost. I'm thinking I should just bleep the message. because honestly I could care less if Facebook bans me. He is simply walking with a sign.ĪM I ALLOWED TO POST THIS? Will I get banned? He's not breaking into buildings, looting, burning them down, shooting off fireworks at police, or storming the capitol. This is not to be a political post - this does not represent my beliefs- this is simply a photo of a stranger SAFELY picketing. When I posted the photo on Facebook I made sure everyone knew. He obviously feels very strongly about his beliefs. He has been out there daily for months!! All day. I find this image important though, because of what it represents right now.Īnd also because I admire his dedication. and he went right back to his peaceful picketing. Juan handed him money and told him to go get some coffee and warm up. (which is the important thing I'm concerned about). I'm not sure why it happened, but Flickr said I violated the terms or something. A few months ago I had a Flickr and I did NOTHING WRONG. The reason I am worried about posting it, is because I do not want ANY issues where Flickr bans me or shuts me down (again). Whether it be political, racial, sexual, religious, there is a HUGE DIVIDE in the USA right now, and we are ALL feeling it. During this huge divide in the United States at the moment. The photo is important to me, because it shows how people are feeling right now. I let everyone know that it is NOT my political views & the photo is not to be political AT ALL.
I have already posted this photo on Facebook. The message on his cardboard is what I'm bothered about. I paid him a little bit as well, (not much, just enough for him to get a snack, coffee and warm up). Well, I asked him if I could take his photo. with a piece of cardboard in his hands- holding it up on the busy streets to the cars. The photo I took is of a local man who has been walking up and down the streets in my area for the past few months.
I have a VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!! Please hear me out & answer me HONESTLY!! My 9/100 for my 100 favorite places to take photographs in Southern NJ, USA.
